Co-writing

Sam has written many songs with Tom Baxter including the Ivor Novello-nominated ‘Better’ – a modern-day standard that’s now woven into the fabric of many people’s lives. ‘Better’ has been covered by several artists including Boyzone and was played in full at the end of ITN’s coverage of the 2018 Royal Wedding of Prince Harry & Meghan. This was in front of a television audience of millions, and would see the song re-enter the top 20 of the Official UK Singles charts:

Sam also wrote ‘Miracle’ with Tom which the BBC used in their inspiring closing credits at the end of their Beijing Olympics & Paralympics coverage:

Sam wrote ‘River’ with the Webb Sisters, two wonderful artists world-renowned as backing singers for Leonard Cohen and Tom Petty. ‘River’ is performed here by Hattie Webb and was the first single from her debut album “To the Bone”:

Sam has co-written three songs with French pop star Medi, featuring on Medi’s debut album ‘You Got Me (Moving)’. ‘How Would You Do It?’ was a top ten hit in Japan.

This is ‘Christmas Song’ written by Sam and Pop Morrison from The Stereophonics, released Dec 2018:
